The development office supports congregations and LCMS organizations across the district through a variety of resources and consultations.
The Michigan District Development Department works to raise awareness and financial support for Michigan District, LCMS Ministries. Support is provided in the areas of general district support, district endowment, Lutheran education, mission and ministry support, conference and training support, leadership development, church worker care, and more.

There are many ways to financially support the ministries of the Michigan District.

When you give a gift to the Michigan District Endowment Fund, you build upon the visionary investments of previous generations. They desired a strong LCMS mission and presence in Michigan for their families and congregations, both present and future.

Laura Thomas – As the Director of Development, Laura seeks to build relationships with congregations and donors to engage them in supporting the work of the Michigan District. She coordinates the development team’s efforts in annual and campaign District appeals, major gifts and bequests, grants, and third-source funding for District ministry. The team co-produces the District’s stewardship and annual reports and helps congregations with basic development and stewardship strategies. Linda Fritsch – As the Administrative Assistant to the Development Department, Linda assists with the commitment mailings, gift processing, receipting and acknowledgments, reporting, and special projects.
