Strategic Planning

Strategic planning is the structured process of defining an organization’s long-term direction, mission, and priorities, typically over 3–5 years. It involves setting measurable goals, allocating resources effectively, and developing actionable strategies to move from the current state to a desired future, ensuring all efforts align with a common vision. Please contact your District Facilitator for more information.

Mission Renewal

Mission renewal is the process of re-aligning a church with its core spiritual purpose, focusing on deep, Spirit-led transformation rather than mere structural change. It involves revitalizing congregations through worship, discipleship, and community engagement, shifting from inwardly-focused maintenance to an outward, mission-driven mindset, often described as “renewal-driven mission.” Please contact your District Facilitator for more information.

Organizational Restructuring

Organizational restructuring in a church is the strategic realignment of leadership, staff, and governance to better fulfill its mission, often involving constitution and bylaws, the simplification of bureaucracy, updating ministry models, and adapting to changing community needs. Key goals include addressing staff burnout, enabling faster decision-making, and aligning resources with ministry goals rather than maintaining tradition. Please contact your District Facilitator for more information.

Transitional Interim Ministry

Transitional interim ministry is a specialized, short-term pastoral role (typically 12–24 months) designed to guide congregations through significant change, such as the departure of a long-term pastor, conflict, or the need for revitalization. Unlike traditional vacancy pastors, these trained professionals focus on healing, assessing organizational health, and preparing the church for its next settled leader.
